Campsites on the Costa Dorada – camping for the whole family

Wide, tranquil sandy beaches, quaint fishing villages and pleasant temperatures are what make the Costa Dorada the perfect destination for a family camping holiday.

Sun, sea and sand

The Costa Dorada owes its name to the golden sandy beaches that cover some two-hundred kilometres of the Spanish Mediterranean coast. With wide, gently sloping beaches, it is the ideal destination for sun seekers and families with small children. The most popular resorts are Tarragona, Salou, Cambrils and Sitges.

The campsite is the perfect base for exploring farther inland, with its beautiful green hills and extensive vineyards, breadfruit trees and almond, hazelnut and olive tree orchards. The area is also famous for its wine production, and is crisscrossed by the River Ebro. The south of the region is dominated by a bare hills and plains.

The campsite also offers easy access to the bustling metropolis of Barcelona to the north of the region. The city offers a wealth of sights and experiences, such as the famous Las Ramblas, the magical fountains, numerous picturesque, historical districts and the world-renowned church of Sagrada Familia, designed by Gaudí.

Campsites on the Costa Dorada are located in the provinces of Tarragona and Barcelona in the Spanish region of Catalonia.
