Braganca is an attractive old walled town, with a lovely river walk and an interesting museum. The countryside around is hilly and heavily wooded.

Sadly we chose the wettest June on record for our stay but we still enjoyed the area very much. The area is very picturesque and there are plenty of nice strolls to be had. When we arrived at a local village it was like stepping back in time
