Camping Village Internazionale Firenze is a large terraced campsite situated in the hilly Tuscan landscape. You camp here only ten kilometres from Florence. Although the campsite and its facilities are a bit cluttered, you will stay on a beautiful campsite: on the slope of a hill and among the trees. Because of its location, close to the motorway and the cultural city of Florence, this campsite is particularly suitable for city visits and as a transit campsite.

Wij kwamen op de fiets met een kleine tent. Moesten vooraf betalen (een dure camping voor fietsers). Voor een plek, waarvoor we nog een steile helling op moesten. Daar kregen we een plek met grove stenen als ondergrond en zonder schaduw. Op deze stenen zou mijn tentzeil kapot gaan. Er was geen goede andere plek te vinden, dus besloten we deze camping te verlaten en weer een stuk verder te fietsen. Beneden bij de receptie kregen we geen geld terug. Over zwembad, eten, toilet kan ik niet oordelen, want dat hebben we niet gebruikt. Voor vakantiegangers op de fiets is het een slechte camping.

Probably not the best campsite to choose if you\'re spending a holiday in Firenze, but if you\'re just passing through (as I was) its location close to the autostrada (but thankfully not within earshot of it) is ideal.. The sanitary block has a slightly neglected feel about it -- but everything works. And the restaurant is serious about both food and wine -- one of the best I\'ve encountered in many years of camping.
