In the north of the department Lot-et-Garonne - bordering on the Dordogne - is the friendly family campsite Camping De Bergougne. It is situated almost exactly between the rivers Dordogne (30 km north) and Lot (30 km south). In this hilly landscape you will find many forests, nature, bastides (fortified towns) and nice cities. The campsite's swimming pool is beautiful. After swimming a few lengths, you can sunbathe on the surrounding lawns.

Good site. Facilities very clean and well maintained. Our only problem was the very wet weather.

The site is beautiful and well designed with private space for everyone. The facilities are clean and well maintained by the owners every morning. There’s enough room in and around the lovely pool area for everyone to enjoy it and like the toilets/showers, it was all spotlessly clean every day. The owners drive around in their buggy every day, checking in on everyone and making sure they’re all happy. They even rent fridges (which unfortunately I didn’t realise when I booked) There was a relaxed atmosphere and everyone was considerate in the evenings with very little noise after 10-11pm.
Although check-in time is stated as after 12, when I arrived there was a note on the reception door saying no-one was available between 12 and 3pm. A bit awkward as I couldn’t contact anyone to let them know I’d arrived. But I used it as an opportunity to get to know the area while I waited.
