Camping La Pointe Saint-Gildas is located in the French department of Pays de la Loire. It is situated in a green, flat area only 800 metres from the Atlantic Ocean. The coast in this area is mostly rocky. But there are enough beaches in the area for a cooling dip in the ocean. The nearest beach is about a five-minute drive away, as is the town of Préfailles.
